How do I get a Library Card?

Applicants must
show 2 forms of identification with their name and current address to receive a
library card. Juveniles between the ages of 6 and 14 must have a parent
or guardian sign the application card for them.

How do I check out materials?
ü
Materials, except
movies, may be checked out for a period of two (2) weeks. All movies may be checked out for a period of
one (1) week. Materials may be renewed
once unless there is a waiting list on the item.
ü
There is no limit
on the number of books that a patron may check out. A limit of four (4) videos per patron is
recommended.
ü
Overdue charges
for all materials, except videos, are at a rate of $.05 for every day
(excluding Fridays & Sundays) the item is overdue. Videos are charged an overdue rate of $1 per
day.
How do I use the computers?
ü
Computers may be
used by older teens and adults who have a current library card and are in good
standing (no outstanding overdue fees, etc.)
Children between the ages of 10 and 16 must have a permission slip
signed by a parent in order to use the computers. Children under the age of 10 must have a
parent or guardian sign a permission slip and also MUST be sitting with the
child at the time of computer usage.

Computer usage is
for a 30-minute time period. Times may
be extended if no one is waiting to use the computer. Times are exempt for persons looking for
jobs, students doing research papers, etc.
ü
Children coming
in to use the computers to play games will be limited to 1 half-hour period
during morning or afternoon library hours.

There is a $.10
per sheet printing fee for all pages printed at the computers.
ü
Persons without a
library card will be charged a fee of $.50 per half hour to use the
computers. All printing charges also
apply.
