BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Regular meeting minutes – January 9, 2012

Attendance – Nola DeVries, Cindy Zumdahl. Mary Toms, Peggy Schneiderman, Teresa Meyer and Cindy Bahr.

Previous month’s minutes were read by Peggy. There was one correction to last months’ minutes. Teresa Meyer was in attendance at the December meeting. Motion to approve corrected minutes from Cindy Z., second from Mary.

Motion carried.

Cindy Z. gave the treasurer’s report. Motion from Peggy to approve, second from Teresa. Motion carried.

Librarians Report

· Update on last month’s PrairieCat meeting. The proposal to eliminate Union List members was not passed. For the time being, our holdings are safe within the catalog. Possibility that fees will go up.

· All outside lighting has been replaced and is working fine.

· All board members will be required to take the on-line OMA (Open Meetings Act) training before January 1, 2013.

· Copy machine is no longer under warranty and service agreement is not available. Library owns copier and will have to pay for any maintenance that is required.

Committee Reports

No reports

OMA training reminder will be placed on the agenda each month until all have completed the training.

Next regular meeting will be February 6, 2012.
